Sharp Dressed Man

A big THANK YOU to my sister Carolyn's friend Becky in Calgary.  She has an adorable son Miles who has great taste in clothes!  She is also kind enough to give us Miles' "hand-me-downs"...which are really more like "hand-me-ups" since some of the items have never been worn!  Here is Troy basking in his new wardrobe.  Thank you so much Becky and Miles. And thank you to Auntie Carolyn (for her connections) and Gramma Annie (who packed all these clothes and shipped them to us).  Looking forward to trying on all the new clothes!

Fresh as a Daisy

The title wasn't just a reason to take some photos with the beautiful gerbera daisies that Simon bought for me. In fact it is because Troy slept for 7.5 hours STRAIGHT last night!  Now, you're probably thinking that means mommy also slept for 7.5 hours straight.  But, no.  She was up every 2-3 hours watching the baby monitor and feeling very "full".  Oh well, she didn't mind because hopefully soon she will be sleeping through the night too!

Hangin' with Dad

Troy enjoys hanging out with his dad.  He has nice big shoulders to burp on. Dad also teaches him which hand is the "throttle" and which is the "clutch" for future motocrossing!

buuuuurp

A Walk in the Park (or so we thought)...

It was a bright, sunny day...perfect for a walk into Sidney for lunch.  Rookie Parent Mistake #1.  What mistake you say?  Well, for all of you out there who don't have children, or forget what it is like to have a 3 month old baby...you CANNOT take BOTH a walk and expect to have a leisurely lunch.  Rookie Parent Mistake #2: park the car too far away (30 minute walk) to feed and diaper your child when he's pooped through two layers of clothing before your entree arrives.  You will be stuck breastfeeding in the alley behind the Mexican restaurant and using the stroller as a change table!  Thankfully, the stroller accommodated the takeout food containers and the chimichangas tasted delicious after being reheated in the microwave at home.

Enjoying the sunshine
Everyone is still happy
This is the downward spiral
RELIEF!
No Pants!!  (check out my chubby legs).  Hey...are we going home now?
Because, I could really go for some lunch!

Auntie Patty

Today is Auntie Patty's birthday.  She is my mommy's big sister (mommy said "oldest" but I thought big sounded nicer).  Auntie Patty is "big" on cuddles and she even drove alllllllllllll the way from Medicine Hat, Alberta to see me - and she gets carsick...so that's love!

Singing Happy Birthday

Here's my birthday card for Auntie Patty...

Mommy spent a lot of time making these signs
and taking separate photos, which in the end just
look like she pasted them on top after, which is NOT
nearly as much effort as she put in - she just
wanted you to know that.  She also said she is looking
forward to the day she can send some of my "art"
as a birthday card.  I think she was considering
strapping crayons to my hands this year!
here's an out-take...this was prior to nap...NOT happy!

Here I am with Auntie Patty when I was way littler
Look how much bigger I am Auntie!  There's more of me to cuddle.

Morning Workout

Here is Troy during his morning workout in his crib.  He loves to kick his legs and flail his arms...sort of "horizontal aerobics".  This is usually a good time for Mommy to get a few chores done (except when she's snapping pics for the blog) You will notice that his workout gear is getting a bit small...those kneepads are more like shin pads!!  I guess mommy will have to retire another of her favorite outfits soon.

Swing those arms everyone
Now reach for the sky
Now get the legs moving...shimmy, shimmy...
a little air guitar
Gettin' Jiggy...
