Jude

The next best thing to motherhood...is Auntiehood!!  It is always so much fun spending time with Jude.  Here are a few moments from our visit:

Making Jell-O Jigglers.  Thankfully Jude didn't care that none of them came out of the pan properly.  To him, they tasted the same regardless!

Auntie Carolyn's dining room table being put to use as post-bathing station and games table.  Anyone up for a game of Mouse Trap?

Jude is making "Taco Bibs"
Yup...if you are going to eat tacos...you need a foil bib!
Bibs all round

Fun at the Gulley

Troy loved hanging out at the Gulley with Gramma and Papa.  There was always someone to hold him and play with him!!

Papa showing me around
Playing with Papa and Jude
Watching the domino match
Me and Gramma in the kitchen (where she cooked the best-smelling meals...I can hardly wait until I am on solid food!)
Papa has big hands to hold me and he calls my hair "wire brush"
Gramma is giggly

Pumpkin Project

It's October, and for Auntie Carolyn and Mommy that means crafting this year's Pumpkin decor projects!  Auntie Carolyn chose an "angry birds" theme (Jude's favorite game)

Jude was in charge of picking the perfect pumpkins
Troy was in charge of staying "put" while Mommy and Auntie crafted

Me and my Aunties

Troy has the best Aunties!  They are always ready with cuddles and snuggles and he loves them all.

Auntie Carol was the first to greet Troy at the airport.  She just happened to be flying out of Calgary the very same day that we flew in.  (I like to think that Uncle Bob helped arrange it!!)

All snuggly with Auntie Carolyn
Don't worry...I had lots of "awake" time with her too!

Troy's Baptism

Troy was baptized on October 6, 2012 in the very same church that I was baptized in - St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Taber, Alberta.  Troy's grandparents (Gramma Annie and Papa Martin) were his Godparents.  It was a very special day.

Ready for my big day!
Godmommy getting me dressed (it is traditional for the Godmother to dress the baby)
Putting on the knitted booties that Gramma Rose made for me.
On with the beautiful silk romper
All dressed and ready to go
Me with my Parents and Godparents

Auntie Carolyn and Jude were there to celebrate with me too

And so were my Auntie Patty, Uncle Daren, Laura (and Kyle behind the camera)

Blessing with the holy water
Here is a picture of my baptism (42 years ago!) at the very same baptismal font
Blessing the oil (that will be put on Troy's head)

On the ride home from the church...a bit tuckered out from the excitement
Resting up for the party!

Lil' Westjetter

Troy experienced his first flight...and much to the relief of his mommy and daddy, he seemed to enjoy it!

Hanging out with Daddy watching the planes take-off and land
Daddy kiss (or he's telling me to be a good boy so mommy will keep flying with me!)
Mommy's travel necessities: her latte and me strapped in the baby carrier
Just boarded and already asleep
Even when he's awake, Troy's a happy flyer

Packin' it in

Troy and I are busy packing for our trip to Alberta.  We will be spending Thanksgiving with my family and also celebrating Troy's baptism.

This will also be Troy's first flight.  Let's hope that he decides to enjoy flying (so it's not his last!).

We fly out tomorrow and get back next Wednesday (so there won't be any new blog posts until then).

Happy Thanksgiving!
