Pumpkin Project

It's October, and for Auntie Carolyn and Mommy that means crafting this year's Pumpkin decor projects!  Auntie Carolyn chose an "angry birds" theme (Jude's favorite game)

Jude was in charge of picking the perfect pumpkins
Troy was in charge of staying "put" while Mommy and Auntie crafted

Me and my Aunties

Troy has the best Aunties!  They are always ready with cuddles and snuggles and he loves them all.

Auntie Carol was the first to greet Troy at the airport.  She just happened to be flying out of Calgary the very same day that we flew in.  (I like to think that Uncle Bob helped arrange it!!)

All snuggly with Auntie Carolyn
Don't worry...I had lots of "awake" time with her too!

Troy's Baptism

Troy was baptized on October 6, 2012 in the very same church that I was baptized in - St. Augustine's Catholic Church in Taber, Alberta.  Troy's grandparents (Gramma Annie and Papa Martin) were his Godparents.  It was a very special day.

Ready for my big day!
Godmommy getting me dressed (it is traditional for the Godmother to dress the baby)
Putting on the knitted booties that Gramma Rose made for me.
On with the beautiful silk romper
All dressed and ready to go

Auntie Carolyn and Jude were there to celebrate with me too

And so were my Auntie Patty, Uncle Daren, Laura (and Kyle behind the camera)

Lil' Westjetter

Troy experienced his first flight...and much to the relief of his mommy and daddy, he seemed to enjoy it!

Hanging out with Daddy watching the planes take-off and land
Daddy kiss (or he's telling me to be a good boy so mommy will keep flying with me!)
Mommy's travel necessities: her latte and me strapped in the baby carrier
Just boarded and already asleep
Even when he's awake, Troy's a happy flyer

Packin' it in

Troy and I are busy packing for our trip to Alberta.  We will be spending Thanksgiving with my family and also celebrating Troy's baptism.

This will also be Troy's first flight.  Let's hope that he decides to enjoy flying (so it's not his last!).

We fly out tomorrow and get back next Wednesday (so there won't be any new blog posts until then).

Happy Thanksgiving!

Gramma Rose

Gramma Rose came for a visit today.  She spent the afternoon walking with Troy and telling him stories.  Each time Troy sees Gramma Rose he gets to know her better...and Gramma gets to find out how much heavier he is to carry!

Hair-raising question

Wondering where Troy gets his "sticky-up" hair?  Yup...his mommy!

Here is a picture of me and my dad.  This was one of my dad's favorite tricks with us.  Once we were able to hold ourselves upright he would balance us with one hand.  I definitely look to be quite the "handful" in this photo!

NOTE: My mom tells me that it was "laundry day" and she was using the terry-cloth diapers
given to her by a British friend - making me appear even more plump!
Morning hair...that lasts all day! (and looking svelte in disposable diapers)
